April 1881, Churchwards Hotel Co Ltd, shares : Capital £20,000 in 4,000 shares of £5 per share. The company is about to be formed for the purchasing of and carrying on the business of the well known Churchwards Hotel, situated in Victoria Rd, Aldershot. The present trade at the hotel will warrant an estimated profit of 10 % and by adding two wings to the building at an outlay of about £2,000 will increase the hotel to about 60 rooms, this will increase the profits to at least 20%. Another wing could be added for the use of Temperance Beverages & for the supply of non-alcoholic drinks. The present Hotel is valued at about £6,000 + £4,000 for all the contents.
